It looks like we were wrong about The Blockheads not dying. At the time, we debunked MGN's proposition as being 'clickbait' and that MajicDave wouldn't be going anywhere since he never confirmed anything. Now he has.

I'm pretty sure that you've read this blog post already, but if you haven't, check it out.
Nobody is certain what this means for The Blockheads, even though a month has passed since he 'semi-retired'. Currently, the game is for sale to any developers who want to continue development of the game. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like any developers are interested. MajicDave has hinted about a 1.6.1 uptade to fix some bugs (e.g. Physical usable Time Crystals, many duplication glitches and other major expliots). Until then, servers will be ridden with duplicated riches and infinite time crystals. People are even selling them in shops! Let's all hope that a 1.6.1 update comes soon.

The Blockheads isn't dying, and here's why:
Before reading this post, it might be worth checking out J Lav's 'Is The Blockheads Going To Die?' article.
So, now that we've all calmed down, let's have a look at some of the evidence to prove that The Blockheads is safe. These are taken from David Frampton (MajicDave)'s Twitter page in reverse chronological order (newest to oldest).
The first tweet was posted very recently, most likely in reply to the #savetheblockheads campaign:
This one's from way back in February 2014:
Even in January 2014, MajicDave was certain that his game would be a long-term success:
If that's not enough evidence for you, read this tweet from December 3rd 2013:
Since that tweet we've had 1.5, 1.5.1 and 1.6. This may show that Dave has so many ideas for the game he just can't stop making new stuff!
But that's not all. We've scoured through every tweet MajicDave has ever made, through all the dusty shelves and boxes and found this ancient tweet from 11th December 2012, before the game was even released:
If all this evidence isn't enough for you, then I suggest you flee to a tibetan mountain and meditate until 1.7 is released.
oh yeah, there's bacon too!
The first tweet was posted very recently, most likely in reply to the #savetheblockheads campaign:
Don't worry, I'm not shutting down The Blockheads, just focusing on something else for a bit.
— David Frampton (@majicDave) December 30, 2014
Another tweet is from the 24th November, just after Dave started working on the prototype for his new game (He was at the stage of a papercraft icosphere):
This time last year I planned to spend 2014 working 50/50 on new game vs. Blockheads, and it ended up 100% Blockheads. Might happen again!
— David Frampton (@majicDave) November 24, 2014
The next one isn't specifically about the new game or development ceasing, but it's an interesting thought about how long The Blockheads will be around for:
Today I renewed the blockheads domain name for 9 years. The amazing thing is that I actually believe it will live that long.
— David Frampton (@majicDave) October 16, 2014
This one's from way back in February 2014:
Been working on Blockheads full time for over 2 years now, and it just gets more enjoyable and rewarding.
— David Frampton (@majicDave) February 19, 2014
Even in January 2014, MajicDave was certain that his game would be a long-term success:
It's pretty amazing, where Blockheads has settled at the moment. I wanted to start work on a new game, but I think that would be crazy now.
— David Frampton (@majicDave) January 28, 2014
Not that I'm complaining! It'll be a lot of fun carrying on putting all my development into Blockheads.
— David Frampton (@majicDave) January 28, 2014
If that's not enough evidence for you, read this tweet from December 3rd 2013:
When I start work again in the new year I plan to split my time 50/50 between Blockheads updates and a new Unity game.
— David Frampton (@majicDave) December 3, 2013

@BinaryBlobs haha haven’t even thought about it. Most likely I’ll continue adding to Blockheads for quite some time :)
— David Frampton (@majicDave) December 11, 2012

Funny (and fake) 1.6 rumors!
As you can probably guess, people are pretty hyped about the upcoming 1.6 update, and in the midst of all the hype, some people decide to make some rumors. Some are good, some are bad. Some are just completely stupid. Here's a few of my favourites from The Blockheads Forums that you can troll your friends with ;)
Please note: None of these rumors have been verified or confirmed. Please don't believe them.

- Zombies - By Joe
1.6 will be known as the zombie update. Starting in the more temperate zones, they will be attracted to living Blockheads. If bitten, your blockhead will become an autonomous zombie, and be remove from the players que.
As time goes on, zombies in the temperate zones will become bloated due to heat, and gain the ability to cross oceans. They will also develop a form of hive consciousness, due to their common goals. They will begin to travel in large hoards. Eventually, they will develop a resistance to cold.
There will be a cure for this necrosis, but the ingredients will include arcane items that are hard to find. Crafting the cure will take a fair amount of time, and will develop only two doses. If a blockhead is successful in administering the antidote, and has a slot available, he/she will gain a random blockhead who is then immune to the disease. The cure will not be available at Trade Portals.

Hello World!
Hey guys, it's Sam.Boyer here!
I've just joined the Blockheads Herald team and I'm looking forward to making some posts on here. I'll make them every now and then, but I'm not really sure what'll be in them. Some news, some opinions and maybe... just maybe... there might be some exclusive videos. *gasp* Who said that???
But there will be bacon. Lots of bacon.
See?
Anyway, just stopped by to say hello!
