Is The Blockheads Going To Die?

The short answer to this is simply no.

The longer one involves twitter, clickbait, and a lot of confusion.

On the 27th of December 2014 the following was tweeted as a reply to another player asking about majicDaves new game.

This tweet was caught by someone at MGN and the following video was posted:

MajicDave said he wasn't sure if/when he'll work on more new content. This is normal, 1.6 only recently came out so it wouldn't be expected for Dave to start working on 1.7 immediately. Dave also said that he'll keep maintaining the game, which means the Cloud and bug fixes are definitely being continued.

The video tried to start a campaign, with people tweeting "#SaveTheBlockheads" to @majicDave.

There were only four tweets under the tag as of the time of writing, because the video is quite recent.
MajicDave then tweeted this:

The main point of this is, unless something is completely comfirmed by majicDave, The Blockheads isn't going anywhere and a small reply to another persons tweet doesn't mean something is definitely true. There isn't anything to worry about yet, and if The Blockheads was stopping then Dave would have clearly stated it, instead of giving a vague-ish reply to another tweet.

It's me Red. I don't think it's clickbait if you are trying to tell people something you believe will happen. Milla just said:

One day The Blockheads will not support Dave's business. He has to have the next game in the chute before that day comes, if not out of the gate. He also needs to stay fresh and keen. He's been working on one thing for a long time. Please don't panic. Just understand the whys and the wherefores

This scares me more than anything. Here is why. Blockheads is buggy, really buggy. I happen to have a ton of hackers in my clan who tell me the massive exploits going on in blockheads itself. Eventually without new content it will no longer be profitable for Dave to fix these massive bugs and when that happens the game could become a hacker paradise or be put to death by Dave to save people from malware. It's all fine and good dreaming about a game that last forever but the reality is in the modern web if you don't actively support something and if you don't actively make sure it's funded well it will die.
